Japanese scientists have developed a robotic dog to aid the physically disabled.


The robotic dog nurse serves to carry around items -- up to 11 pounds' worth -- around the house. A camera wired onto its back will presumably give the dog surveillance capabilities.

Japan has been renting out the robotic dogs for 30,000 yen per month, or 280 USD. No word yet on when these puppies will be on sale.

The robot weighs approximately 5 kg and has dimension of 700 mm (height) and 530 mm (width).

The dog-bot can carry about 2 kgs weight , so you could ask it to pick up a bag of groceries and drop it off.
